You can schedule months in advance for your wedding day and we can style all of your bridesmaids and of course, you! If you want your make-up done professionally, we can do that for you as well. We would love to make you beautiful for your big day. If you have any questions regarding pricing information, please feel free to give us a call. Also, one of the biggest events for teens is approaching, prom. It can be a stressful time for both teenagers and their parents but we are here to help comfort you and make their big day memorable and special. From elaborate updos to long soft curls, we are here to help meet their needs! If your teenager already knows what they would like to do, just bring in a picture and we can get started. If not, don’t worry, because our stylists will come up with an amazing style for their big night!  Oscar Recap In last month’s newsletter we predicted our pick for Best Picture at the Oscars. Our prediction was wrong but we would like to congratulate all of the nominees and winners. As always, hair is our passion here at Jovie and we look forward to the fashion and hair trends. It’s always interesting to see what will roll out on the red carpet on one of Hollywood’s biggest nights. We believe this year Hollywood kept it more modest than previous years. Many of the dresses were jeweled-toned and very classy. Some our best dressed favorites were Jennifer Lawrence and Anne Hathaway. As for the hair, there were a lot of updos with soft curls. Happy February! Every February, Hollywood comes together for one of the biggest events of the year, the Oscars! From the beautiful dresses, the hair, and the make-up, stylists are preparing to wow the crowd. Not only are we excited to see what the celebrities will be wearing, but we are also looking forward to see their hair styles! From the elaborate updos to the glamorous curls, we are anxious to see what styles will roll out on the red carpet. What kind of movie are you rooting for? "DJango" the controversial period piece, "Silver Linings Playbook" the unorthodox romantic comedy? The star studded drama "Lincoln", or the musical "Les Miserables"? No matter what your favorite type of movie is there is a movie for everyone to root for. Here are some of our predictions for this year’s Oscars fashion trends. Elena predicts that we will be seeing black mermaid form-hugging dresses with lots of different textures. Elizabeth predicts lots of jeweled-toned dresses, lots of lace and sheer. Lauren predicts seeing trends of old Hollywood with satin drop back dresses and fairytale whimsical bodices, she also predicts that Helena Bonham Carter will wear something outrageous and interesting! Diena predicts that the stars will be wearing orange hues like tangerine orange and fiery orange dresses. Julie predicts that the stars will be wearing rich colors with a down deep side part with beautiful accessories. She also predicts that Angelina Jolie’s right leg will take the show this year! We are expecting an homage to the glamorous age of vintage Hollywood. We will probably see plenty of soft curls, deep side parts, and lots of shine in the hair. Of course, we are also expecting Helena Bonham Carter and Lady Gaga will take us to different planets. The Oscars will air live on Sunday, February 24 at 7 p.m. |
